Cumbernauld Model Flying Club

Model planes, helicopters and multi-rotors, flown seven days a week at our own field. Newcomers always welcome.

Welcome

Welcome to Cumbernauld Model Flying Club. We are one of the larger clubs in Scotland, with members flying model planes, helicopters and multi-rotors. We welcome newcomers, whether you are an experienced flyer moving into the area or a beginner getting started in the sport.

Seven days a week
Members can fly at our field every day.
Weekday lunchtimes
Usually someone flying when the weather is reasonable.
Busy weekends
Weekends are our busiest time, with many members attending to fly.
Flying events
We hold events throughout the year, with the focus on having fun flying.

New to model flying?

Come and see us as early as possible. We can tell you what to buy and what to avoid. There's no need to join the club before you visit.

We have experienced instructors that can train you to fly using our club trainer aircraft and a buddy box. You don't have to buy your own equipment to get started.

Getting started

Come and visit

The easiest way to meet us is to come to the field on a dry, calm day and chat to whoever is flying. If you've already bought a model, bring it with you. You can also get in touch through our Location & Contacts page.
